GasApp Community Guidelines
Version: 2026-10-10. Russian text: community-guidelines.md.
These rules apply to everything you do in GasApp: private messages, channels and bots. They are part of the Terms of Use.
What is not allowed
Child safety — zero tolerance. No child sexual abuse material (CSAM), no sexualisation of minors, no grooming, no sextortion, no trafficking or any other content or behaviour that exploits or endangers children. Accounts and channels involved are removed and, where the law requires, reported to the competent authorities. See our child safety standards.
Violence and threats. No threats, incitement to violence, or praise of terrorist or violent extremist acts.
Harassment and hate. No targeted harassment, stalking, doxxing, or attacks on people for who they are.
Sexual content without consent. No non-consensual intimate imagery.
Illegal goods and services. No sale or promotion of illegal drugs, weapons, stolen data or anything else unlawful where you or your audience are.
Fraud and deception. No scams, phishing, impersonation of people or organisations, or malware.
Spam. No bulk unsolicited messages, no bots that message people who did not ask for it.
Abuse of the service. No attacks on the servers, no attempts to deanonymise or harm other users.
Channels and bots
- A channel is public speech to everyone who has its link. Its owner and administrators answer for what is posted in it.
- A bot's owner answers for what the bot sends. A bot must not pretend to be a person, and must not message people who have not contacted it first.
- A bot that approves requests to a closed channel hands out the channel's read key; its owner answers for whom it lets in.
How to protect yourself
- Chat requests. A first message from someone new arrives as a request: accept it or decline it. Declining tells the sender nothing.
- Block. Contact menu → Block. Their messages are dropped on your device.
- Report a person. Contact menu → Report (or Report and block).
- Report a channel. Channel menu → Report channel. You choose whether to give us access to the channel so we can see what you are reporting.
- Leave a channel. Channel menu → Leave.
What we can and cannot do
Private messages are end-to-end encrypted: we cannot read, scan or remove them. What we act on is a report and the account or channel behind it. A report about a private conversation proves cryptographically that the reported account wrote to you; it does not send us the conversation.
Channels without a public @name are encrypted too: we see their content only if a reporter chooses to share access. Channels with a public @name can be read by the server.
What happens after a report
- We review reports within 24 hours; child safety reports immediately.
- We may delete the channel, delete the account, revoke the right to create channels and bots, or dismiss the report.
